It was early Summer in Hamilton Ohio. A perfect day for kids to take out their bikes, and ride around the neighborhood.
One kid however, forgot to put a second lock on her princess bike one night. The next morning the girl’s bike had mysteriously vanished.
It was eventually discovered that a 30 year old man had come across the bike in the family’s back yard (not sure why he was there in the first place) and saw the bike. It was reported that the man thought it was his. Witnesses saw the man cut the one lock that was on the bike, with the wire cutters that he conveniently had in his pocket. The man was later seen riding the bike around town.
We asked the kid what her thoughts were on the stolen bike, she said “He has a beard, and I think his pants were falling off...” We also asked her friend what her thoughts were and she said, “He looks just like a pretty princess.” We managed to find the man who took the bike, he simply said “Ummm, I uhh... thought it was mine...” we asked, "A princess bike... with rainbow streamers and stickers?..." but he took off at a shaky 5 miles an hour on the tiny bicycle.
The man was apprehended by police very shortly after.
