The recent Fix our Streets campaign has stirred quite the debate in Hamilton. Some encourage voters to vote yes on taxing themselves more on something that we already had money for but decided to gamble, while others can see the obvious flaw in that and vote no.
However, many have overlooked a vital minority group in this debate. And they are Pot Holes.
“Pot holes have rights too!”
Said Mr. Poptire at the Dollar Tree parking lot.
“Like, we’ve lived here so long, people have gotten to know where we live. They avoid us, but they never miss us. I really wish this was a more inclusive community. All of this xenophobia makes me sick. We have rights, too!”
We decided to interview some bigots to examine their viewpoint. Here’s what one said:
“What the heck! Pot holes aren’t sentient! This is just a bunch of made up crap by some 30 year old man in his mom’s apartment. There’s no way I believe pot holes have rights; are you kidding?!”
He was obviously a xenophobic jerk. Pot hole’s are living sentient creatures. How else could they multiply?! They grow up, get married, and have a family. Their right to existence must be maintained. We could cover up these pot holes and hope they go away, but that’s murder. Also, they’ll just come right back anyway...
Never the less, people constantly vote for politicians and legislation that attacks these minority groups. This is the year 2020 folks, and we have to get our act together or this hatred for pot holes will pass on to our kids. Then where will our future be?! Roads that last?! Roads that are actually drivable?!
